About Us

Clothes we'd actually recommend to a friend.

ShoppingForYou is a US apparel storefront built on fabric transparency, considered sizing, and a smaller catalog on purpose — so every piece has a reason to be here.

Our story

ShoppingForYou started from a simple frustration: most apparel sites either bury the details that actually matter — fabric, fit, care — or bury you in marketing language instead.

We built a smaller catalog on purpose, so every piece we carry has a reason to be there. We're not trying to be the biggest closet on the internet. We're trying to be the one you trust to tell you the truth about a garment before you buy it.

How we work

How a piece earns a listing

We don't start with a supplier catalog. We start with whether a garment is actually worth recommending.

01

Review

Fit, fabric behavior, and how it holds up after repeated wear and washing — checked before anything goes live.

02

Specify

Fiber content, fabric weight, and care notes are written for the product page — not left for a PDF after checkout.

03

List

Only pieces that pass that bar make the catalog. If it doesn't earn a second wear, it doesn't earn a page.

What we believe in

Six standards we don't skip

01

Apparel Curation

Every product goes through an internal review before it's listed — fit, fabric behavior, and how it holds up after repeated wear and washing.

02

Quality Standards

We favor natural and recycled fibers where the garment calls for it, and we list fabric weight so you know what you're actually getting.

03

Fabric Transparency

Fiber content, weight, and care instructions are listed on every product page — not tucked away in a size chart PDF.

04

Sizing Approach

We keep fit notes consistent across the catalog, and flag when a specific style runs differently from the rest of the collection.

05

Customer-First

Our support team answers sizing and fabric questions before you order, not just returns questions after.

06

Editorial Selection

Seasonal capsules are chosen to layer with pieces you likely already own, not to replace your entire closet each quarter.

How we curate

Construction first, then the look.

Before a product is listed, we check the fabric, how the garment is finished, and whether the care instructions are realistic for a normal laundry routine. A jacket that needs a dry clean gets labeled that way — we'd rather set the right expectation than oversell convenience that isn't there.

That means the catalog is smaller than a typical marketplace. It also means most of what we carry is meant to earn a second season.

  • Fabric weight and fiber content on every listing
  • Fit notes that stay consistent across the collection
  • Care instructions written for real laundry, not a lab

Responsible shopping

Buy less, wear it longer.

We'd rather sell you one jacket you wear for three winters than three jackets you replace every year. That's why fabric and construction notes are front and center — so you can judge a garment's staying power before it arrives, not after.
